Worked in the fields of Cooperation, Rural Development, Training and Self Employment Schemes for youth, Resettlement and Rehabilitation, Financial Management for State Government Undertakings, Housing for the Poor, etc.
Made pioneering efforts in the fields of Social Audit and Direct Benefit Transfer which are considered as national best practices. As first full time Director of the Society for Social Audit, Accountability and Transparency (SSAAT), Government of AP (2009-10), he conducted Social Audit of MGNREGA covering all the villages of the State of Andhra Pradesh.
As Additional Commissioner of Rural Development (2010-2014), he implemented AP Smart Card Project, for payment of NREGA Wages and Social Security Pensions by means of biometric finger print authentication, in all districts of State of Andhra Pradesh from 2009 to 2012. It was the predecessor of Aadhaar based Direct Benefit Transfer. During 2013, he converted the Smart Card based biometric payment system to the Aadhaar platform and organized the national launch of Aadhaar Enabled Payment System. 11 Banks, 8 Business Correspondents and India Post gained valuable experience in biometric payments in this project.
Notably he served as Additional Registrar of Cooperative Societies and as Commissioner for Cooperation and Registrar of Cooperative Societies (i/c) and as Member, Andhra Pradesh Cooperative Tribunal (2014-18).
